Tempo is the speed of Music!

FAST AND SLOW!
When
listening to the tempo or speed of a piece of music, it can either be
fast or slow.
In
music terminology, there are different words for fast and slow.
Allegro means fast. Adagio means slow.
There are many terms for different tempos shown in music, but these are the
ones most commonly used for fast and slow.

IS THAT FAST OR SLOW?
You can tell if a piece of music is being played or sung in a fast or slow tempo by listening carefully to the speed.

Did you know that you can change the speed of your voice when you are singing to create fast and slow music?

Practise singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to your friend as slow as you can, and then
try and sing it as fast as you can. Can you tell the difference? Which do you
